Role Overview

MantraCare is looking for an experienced General Physician to provide high-quality online medical consultations to patients across Malaysia. In this role, you will assess symptoms, provide clinical guidance, recommend diagnostic investigations, prescribe treatment where legally permitted and advise patients on preventive healthcare. This remote teleconsultation position is designed for physicians seeking clinical flexibility while maintaining high standards of medical practice.

Key Responsibilities:

In this General Physician Job in Malaysia (Remote), you will:

• Conduct video- and audio-based teleconsultations.
• Evaluate patient symptoms, medical history and current medications.
• Provide appropriate diagnosis and treatment recommendations within the general practice scope of care.
• Identify red-flag symptoms requiring urgent or emergency in-person medical attention.
• Review laboratory investigations, diagnostic reports and past medical records.
• Offer lifestyle, nutritional and preventive healthcare guidance.
• Maintain accurate, secure and confidential electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide structured follow-up recommendations and monitor treatment response.
• Refer patients to relevant specialists or hospital facilities when clinically indicated.
• Adhere strictly to MantraCare’s clinical, ethical and documentation guidelines, as well as Malaysian telemedicine standards.

Requirements:

To qualify for this general physician job in Malaysia, you should have:

• MBBS / MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
• Valid registration with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) and current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) / legal authorization to practice.
• Minimum of 6+ months of clinical experience.
• Prior experience in telemedicine or virtual care platforms is preferred.
• Strong diagnostic, clinical judgment and patient-management skills.
• Fluent in English; working proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and/or other local languages is an advantage.
• A reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, confidential work-from-home setup.
