The ideal candidate should have professional experience in one or more areas of law, a strong understanding of the Belgian legal system and the appropriate qualifications or authorization to provide legal advice within their professional scope.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Legal Advisor in Belgium, you will:

• Conduct one-on-one legal consultations through an online platform.
• Understand clients’ legal questions, concerns and requirements.
• Provide clear and practical legal guidance within your area of expertise.
• Advise clients within your professional qualifications and authorization.
• Explain legal concepts, procedures and documentation in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Maintain client confidentiality and professional standards at all times.
• Maintain appropriate consultation records where required.
• Follow applicable Belgian laws, professional rules, confidentiality obligations and data protection requirements.
• Identify matters outside your area of expertise and refer clients appropriately where required.
• Conduct professional and confidential consultations in a remote environment.

Requirements:

To qualify for this Legal Advisor Job in Belgium, you should have:

• A law degree and relevant professional qualification.
• Appropriate license, registration or authorization to practice law or provide legal advice in Belgium, where required for the services offered.
• Professional experience in one or more areas of law.
• Strong knowledge of the Belgian legal system.
• Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
• Ability to conduct legal consultations remotely.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• English proficiency is required.
• French and/or Dutch language skills are an advantage.
• Strong professional ethics and commitment to client confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently as a freelance professional.

Compensation

Belgium: USD $30 – $70 per session

Client volume is not guaranteed and may depend on client requirements, area of expertise, language, availability and professional experience.
