Role Overview

MantraCare is seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to provide confidential online psychiatric consultations and ongoing mental-health support for patients across Malaysia. In this role, you will assess mental-health history, evaluate psychosocial factors, develop treatment plans and provide psychoeducation to patients and caregivers. This remote teleconsultation position is designed for specialists dedicated to delivering high-quality psychiatric care in a secure virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities:

In this Psychiatrist Job in Malaysia (Remote), you will:

• Conduct confidential psychiatric assessments through teleconsultation.
• Assess symptoms, mental-health history and psychosocial factors.
• Support patients with common psychiatric and behavioral-health concerns within clinical scope.
• Review current medications and treatment history.
• Develop appropriate treatment and follow-up plans.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and, where appropriate, caregivers.
• Identify suicide/self-harm, psychosis or other emergency risks and follow appropriate escalation procedures.
• Coordinate referrals to hospitals or other mental-health professionals when necessary.
• Maintain detailed and confidential clinical records.

Requirements:

To qualify for this Psychiatrist Job in Malaysia, you should have:

• MBBS / MD or equivalent.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry.
• Appropriate Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) registration/specialist registration.
• Minimum of 6+ months of relevant clinical experience.
• Strong communication, empathy and risk-assessment skills.
• Experience in telepsychiatry preferred.
